Skin Health

Improves skin texture, tone, firmness and hydration.

Essential fatty acids are well known for regulating the skin's oil production and improving balanced hydration and fight red, dry, or itchy skin caused by skin disorders like atopic dermatitis and psoriasis.

Omega-3’s help protect the skin against sun damage. One study showed that supplementation of 79 females with EPA derived from fish oil for 12 weeks shifted the balance of eicosanoids in the skin towards a less inflammatory species and helped protect the skin from the inflammatory effects of UV exposure.

Omega-3 fatty acids appear to protect the skin from the harmful effects of UV radiation via a number of mechanisms of action. Borage oil (a source of omega-6 GLA) has been shown to improve skin hydration.
